Edward Blackleg was a pirate and explorer. During his career, he amassed a large amount of treasure which he buried at Port Royal. He was eventually caught, taken to Fort Charles, and hung. He was buried at the fort along with the map to his treasure. Later, Jack Sparrow dug up his map and his treasure.
