The United States Secret Service, most commonly known refered to simply as the "SS", is an organisation charged with the protection of the president and of various government dignitaries. After the AFP took over, the uniformed section was reinforced and a special branch was created with the purpose of investigating potential threats to the government. The powers of the special branch were far reaching and its agents were answerable only to the president via their hierarchy. the SS-SB has been accused by foreign humanitarian organisations of breaching basic human rights and of often using agent provocateurs to discredit groups opposed to the AFP.
