A homunculus is one of several kinds of magical servitor fashioned for the purpose of serving some dark, twisted sorcerer. Homunculi are typically small, man-shaped flesh creations: the homunculus is a staple work of the mystical art of Alchemy, but certain vampiric blood magics can conjure up a homunculus from body parts. Homunculi can be man-shaped, cat-shaped (see "Witchcat,") or thoroughly bizarre creations, such as those created by the Getsumei power "Channel of Hasu-Ko" and the Crúac blood ritual "Bleeding the Tarantula."
