Gus worked as a pawnbroker in a Manhattan shop who bargained with Michael for the watch that was given to him by Jin. Gus inquired about the writing on the back, initially thinking it was Chinese, to which Michael corrected him by saying it was Korean. Gus traded Michael a gun with bullets at his request for the watch. Michael later attempted to commit suicide with the gun. (Meet Kevin Johnson)
