The Mark VIII Supremacy-class starfighter, also known as the New Imperial interceptor was an upgraded model of the ISF interceptor. It was first manufactured in later 50 ABY after the battle of Ilum. Using Adegan crystals found on the same planet, the Empire began utilizing this crystals to make shields and more powerful laser cannons. They use these crystals to make more powerful interceptors.
