In addition to the Star Trek films, Hudson also worked for Paramount on films such as Airplane!, the Joseph Sargent-directed Coast to Coast (working with Gene S. Cantamessa), Mommie Dearest, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and Fatal Attraction. His early credits also included The Beastmaster, Cujo, The Terminator, Hoosiers, and Rain Man. In addition, Hudson received Emmy nominations for the TV movies Fire on the Mountain (shared with Mel Metcalfe) and The Executioner's Song. Hudson worked on several more films between 1995 and 1999 before retiring from Hollywood.
