Jok Richard Church was a news broadcaster, magazine editor, artist, and illustrator, gay rights activist, and is most famous for his science comicstrip "You Can With Beakman and Jax" and the television show "Beakman's World". He worked for Lucasfilm from 1980-1988, where he worked on a variety of projects. He died of a heart attack on April 29, 2016. His final comicstrip appeared just two days after its 25 anniversary of publication.
