Planetary Governors are directly responsible for governing their respective New Republic territories. They do so under the guidance of the Senate, the Court of Justice, and the General Ministry's collection of civil organizations. The primary difference between a Senator and a Governor is that Senators represent their planets to the Senate, where Governors work the other way around; by upholding and encouraging the ideals of the New Republic in their territories.
