Usage stats on How do you turn on a brother printer online

How do I turn on my Brother MFC 420CN printer back online? Whenever I go to print it says Offline. I have all of the cables connected and the printer is on. What's wrong? My cristal ball tells me it's a ink problem, or a ink head one.
