The 2006 UND Summer Movie Camp was a moviemaking workshop, the first of an annual UND Summer Movie Camp series held at the University of North Dakota. This workshop was set up by Kathy King through the UND Departments of English and Visual Arts, but designed for teenagers. King co-taught the sessions with Christopher Jacobs, handling most of the first week on screenwriting, with Jacobs leading the second week on production and editing. Classroom meetings were in Merrifield Hall and editing was done in the Art Department's computer lab in the Hughes Fine Arts Center. Most of the shooting was at or near various locations on campus, although two students shot their projects independently due to scheduling considerations. Jacobs edited an alternate version of four of the movies.
