Status: The Apollo (NCC-1834/4) was a Class F shuttlecraft assigned to the USS Cortez in the 2250s. In 2254, the Apollo was used by a landing party from the Cortez to investigate the planetoid Darien 224. Apollo crash landed, while the Cortez was boarded by the violent pre-Surakian Vulcans who inhabited the planetoid. Shortly after, the surface of Darien 224, including the Apollo, was destroyed as a result of the firing of the vorl-tak, a Vulcan psionic weapon.
