The Kraken-class is a Miratian designed hunter-killer submarine, built primarily for naval defense. Since it would only operate within the waters near Frequesue, the design sacrifices endurance in favour of firepower, and detection capability. Consequently, it lacks the range necessary to engage in intercontinental operations, but carries a large store of missiles and torpedoes.
