The Cochrane Medal of Honor was awarded to Starfleet officers who performed outstanding feats in various areas. It was named for Zefram Cochrane. After the quantum slipstream drive was successfully installed aboard the USS Voyager in early 2375, Chakotay remarked that the crew of Voyager would probably be nominated for the Cochrane Medal of Honor. (VOY: "Timeless") This may be the same medal of honor that Data (TNG: "The Measure Of A Man" ) and James T. Kirk (TOS: "Court Martial" ) have received.
