Ratified by the Plebiscite of 2120, the South Asian Confederation was comprised of nation states that were in or bordered the southwestern quadrant of the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea, and the Indian Ocean. The superstate was envisioned by the delegates to the Singapore Conference, and expanded by the economic self-interests of the former Commonwealth nations of India, Australia and New Zealand, and the Philippine Republic. The capital of the Confederation was Singapore known as the Confederal District (CD), or Singapore CD.
