Jason Blum is American film and television producer. Blum is the founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, made especially for producing horror films. Blum worked for Bob and Harvey Weinstein as Executive producer and later as independent producer for Warner Brothers. He also served as co-head of the Acquisitions and Co-Productions department at Miramax Films in New York. Blum has also produced a variety of live-events including The Blumhouse of Horrors, haunted house experience in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. He is best known for producing the hit film franchise of Paranormal Activity. Other notable films he has worked on include, The Reader (2008), Insidious (2010), and Whiplash (2014).
