Erekul was a high templar. During the zerg invasion of Aiur, he sent out a burst transmission to recall motherships to defend the protoss homeworld while several of his templar brethren defended him. Soon after the transmission was sent, a horde of zerglings and hydralisks burst into the room he was in. While a conjured psionic storm killed many of them, there were simply too many. Despite the massive number of zerg rushing towards him, Erekul physically fought bravely and proudly. He was ultimately torn apart in a flurry of teeth and spines.
