The Great Thranta was the largest species of Thranta. These massive flying beasts were native to the planet Alderaan, and became extinct when the planet was destroyed. Like all Thrantas, the Great Thranta possessed large wings, and had airsacs in their bodies to help them to stay aloft. Their diet consisted mainly of small flying organisms and aeroplankton.
