The Tunnel Demon is the monster that Roland Deschain and Susannah Dean encountered in the tunnel between Fedic and the Badlands. Essentially, it was a giant worm that crawled through the tunnels. Roland speculated that it escaped from the todash darkness. Roland and Susannah were able to escape it because it was sensitive to light. They used sterno to light old bones and make it out of the tunnel.
