The Battle of Sullust was the first engagement of the Continuation War, in 4 ABY, shortly after the defeat of the Alliance to Restore the Republic at Endor and the retreat of the Alliance Fleet to Sullust. Under orders of Admiral Gial Ackbar, the fleet regrouped at Sullust and began discussing the next course of action. However, due to the arguing of several officers, the planning stalled, and gave time for the Imperial Navy under Fleet Admiral Firmus Piett to attack. The battle was a disaster for the Alliance, ending up with the destruction of two-thirds the Rebel fleet. The remaining vessels scattered to various systems.
