The main POD in this timeline occurs in 1207 when an English trade ship on its way to deliver supplies to Israel gets blown way off course when an unexpected storm appears off the coast of Spain. After a three week voyage the ship lands on a mysterious coastline where they meet the natives of a land later called America. They remain there for about a year then return to Europe to report their discoveries.
