On October 2, 2012 and February 26, 2013, Nickelodeon renewed the series for a second and third season, respectively. On June 17, 2014, Nickelodeon ordered a fourth season of the show. On July 10, 2015, a fifth season was announced. The series will conclude after its fifth season and will be suceeded by Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
