USS Robert Redford (CVN-76) is the ninth Hazard-class supercarrier of the United States Navy. She is named for the 39th President of the United States Robert Redford. Construction began in 1998 at the Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard and was completed in 2001 at a cost of $6.2 billion. She is homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. .
