The Alliance to Restore the Empire was a movement to restore the Empire, which was destroyed by the reformed Confederacy of United Systems. The ARE, its base on Kamino, existed for only two months. CUS droid armies assaulted Kamino consistently and eventually the base there was demolished. The ARE then announced surrender to the much more powerful CUS.
