The Chief Maid was a position on the space station Basura. Usually, the Chief Maid was in charge of the station's servant and catering divisions, and due to her department being the most prominent and well-paid on the station, she was nominally in charge of the station's staff, although she usually often shared duties with the Chief Janitor and Chief Engineer, the other two most important staff positions on the station. The Chief Maids occasionally acted as guides and personal servants for VIPs. Criteria required to be fulfilled by Chief Maids were politeness, skill, speed, and attractiveness. Usually, Chief Maids were human, although occasionally near humans such as Twi'leks took the role. Non-humanoids were forbidden from being Chief Maids. One Chief Maid of note was Laruna Saik.
