The Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Immobilizer 418 cruiser or simply the Immobilizer, was a class of Interdictor cruiser and Star Destroyer used by the Galactic Empire that was capable of emitting an interdiction field to pull passing ships out of hyperspace. Considered state-of-the-art in 14 BBY, it was used against the rebellion around 4 BBY, despite it still being in test. Due to its vulnerabilities, production of the Interdictor-class was discontinued in 0 ABY, following the Battle of Yavin, although the star destroyer continued to be utilized by the Imperial Navy.
