Alvedansen was the Norwegian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens performed by Christine Gulbrandsen. Because Norway finished in the top 11 in 2005, it didn't have to go through the semifinal. In the final, it was performed 5th following Latvia and preceding Spain. At the close of voting, it finished in 14th place with 36 points.
