Curly is in love with Tina Wagstaffe. Susan and Peter Barlow celebrate their twenty-first birthday's. Terry asks Gloria out to the Barlows' party but she refuses. Ken hopes that surrounded by all her young friends, Susan will see how unsuitable Mike is. Susan is surprised to find Ken has invited all her friends - Gary Knox, Cheryl Crossley and Alec Trenham - from Newcastle and Glasgow. She is embarrassed when they think Mike is her dad. Kevin doesn't like the way Sally flirts with Terry. Curly takes Tina to the party. Terry flirts with her but she puts him down. Ken enjoys the party, seeing Mike out of place amongst youngsters. Mike buys Susan a car for her birthday.
