Like Iran, the USA was cornered between two axis powers. (Its death toll in this war would be comparable to the USSR of OTL). The North American Front opened when Britain launched Operation Burgoyne in September 5 1938. 1.7 Million German, British and Canadian troops invaded the continental United States (neglecting Alaska lest they incur the Soviet Union's involvement). The invasion met with initial successes, annexing much of Washington State, Montana, North and South Dakota and northern Minnesota.
