The Dawnblade are an army of blood elves loyal to Kael'thas Sunstrider. They are one of Kael's most ardent forces along with the Sunblade. They are the most elite of Kael'thas's forces, much like how the Ymirjar are an organization of the Vrykul's most elite warriors. They are scattered throughout the Isle of Quel'Danas, primarily centered around Sun's Reach, where they occupy the Sun's Reach Harbor, as well as several ships which are located a short distance from the shore. The invading forces also contain the Wretched, emaciated elves which have fallen to their magical addictions.
