Richard Langley was the Assistant District Attorney for Metro-Dade County, and a friend to many police officers as well as attorney Laurence Thurmond. He along with the DEA were working on pressuring the French-Canadian drug dealer Jean Faber, but Faber (who was being defended by Thurmond) went to the location of Langley's daughter's wedding, disguised himself as a waiter using glasses and a wig, turned and shot down Langley and two teen-age bridesmaids.
