Jack's talk with Seth pushes him over the edge and he eventually decides to borrow some of the money and pay off a few bills before he ends up in total dire straits. Marc makes a pass at Bev, but she is having none of it and Marc is very embarrassed and knows he's been an idiot. However, news of Marc's actions soon travels around the village when Donna finds out. Andy finds himself drawn into Cain's cigarette scam in a bid to try and help Jack's ever-growing money problems. Robert discovers Andy selling cigarettes for Cain at school but swears to stay silent when Andy tells him the reason for helping Cain. Jack is put in an awkward situation when Andy gave him the proceeds of his sales.
