The Eleda was a Bajoran scoutship owned by Jas Holza in the early 24th century. The ship possessed warp drive and impulse engines, but also had solar sails that could be used in an emergency. In 2318, the Eleda was lost without contact near the Olmerak star system until it was discovered by the Cardassians. Later, the Kornaire returned the Eleda and the bodies of the crew to Bajor, using it as a pretense to make first contact and get a foothold on Bajor. Some Bajorans believed the Cardassians were responsible for the deaths of the Eleda crew. (ST - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers)
