The Rumbles was an area in the Dune Sea, at some point before the rise of the Empire, a sarlacc made it's nest in one of the craters in it. In 19 BBY, Kallie Calwell, a young girl was still working with her family's dewbacks. While on a dewback named Snit, the animal stampeded and headed towards the Rumbles which contained one of Tatooine's famous sarlaccs. Her mother Annileen Calwell attempted a rescue. This was when Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Master going under the name Ben Kenobi, appeared to help the teenager before they fell into the pit of the sarlacc. The sarlacc however ate Snit, who was injured before so, and the trio left disgusted.
