The Witches of Dathomir were an order of mostly-female humans on the planet Dathomir. One of their most famous members was Tenel Ka Djo. When Fyor Rodan became Chancellor of the New Republic, he declared Dathomir a forbidden world. The Jedi tried to help the Witches from being harmed by Rodan's followers, the Purists. They were known for their beautiful physical appearance. Owen Skywalker would fall in love with them, a woman named Balii Penton.
