Max Brutto is Francis Brutto's son. Max never liked T'Phai from the beginning, but much like Rico, later becomes friends. He first joined the Roughnecks when they tried to defend Kaiu Point in Hawaii. He's almost exactly like his father in attitude although much less experienced. Max was trained by the same man who trained Rico, Sgt. Zim, who introduced him to the squad when the Roughnecks went to receive their new recruit. During the start of the battle at Kaiu Point, both Brutto and Zim became Rico's newest squad members.
