We know that he has a dark past (based on Tiger's reaction to him when he was going to see Sugata), some serious family issues, and is Chaotic Good, leaning toward Selfish Good because it's pretty obvious that he's only being the hero so he can be with Wako. All this adds up to show that there's a lot of potential the he has a dark side.
