Being that Russian is an Indo-European language, the Russian Grammar does have many similarities with English. However, it also has many differences. The main differences are in the fact that Russian does not have Auxiliary Verbs or Articles. To compensate for this, one of the primary things that the language will do is switch the order of words. Thus, when a Russian statement is literally translated into English, it will be missing many features of a correct grammatical structure in the English language. In most cases, it will still be easily intelligible, but many words must be added in order to obtain correct grammar.
