Deputy Director Shimada is the acting Director of the SRF, in the game Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and has power over all of its forces. He is an obese, large man with a bald head and a goatee. He is very arrogant and abuses his power when giving orders to characters such as Grafton and Stephen D. Kenny. Also, despite the fact he is only the Deputy Director of the SRF, most other factions follow his orders as if they were under his control.
