The 1st Infantry Brigade is a formation of the Royal Union Army. The brigade is also known HMKG (Hans Majestet Kongens Garde). The brigade has two main roles; it serves as the Kalmar Union King's bodyguards, guarding the royal residences and is also the main infantry unit responsible for the defence of the capital Stockholm. The HMKG is in theory under the direct command of the King.
