The funeral of Aragog took place on 21 April, 1997. The funeral was an event commemorating the life of Aragog, an acromantula, after he passed away from old age. It took place in Rubeus Hagrid's pumpkin patch, behind his cabin. Harry Potter used this opportunity to obtain the true Horcrux memory from Horace Slughorn, in the hopes that the information would be useful in bringing about the downfall of Lord Voldemort.
