Drannin was the son of Breetai and Kazianna Hesh. Drannin only appears in the now-defunct novels, making his existence in the Robotech universe questionable. Although the Waltrips never finished the Sentinels comic series, a timeline of future events was produced, which showed Drannin's birth after the death of his father. In Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles, Breetai's latest appearance, no mention was made of him having a son.
