The New Republic's citizenry is as varied as the New Republic itself. They include people born within the New Republic's borders, immigrants and refugees from other parts of the Galaxy, people on former New Republic worlds now under occupation by the Galactic Empire, and 'citizens at heart' who sympathize with the New Republic's goals though their official allegiance lies elsewhere.
