Unix B'lob is a sprite who worked for Turnball Root, along with Bobb and Ching Mayle . He once had a fight with a troll, which ripped his wings off. He was clinically dead when Turnball found him and he was brought back with Turnball's last shot of magic. Unix may be a hint at Artemis Fowl's skills in computing, as UNIX is an early '60s system now used in many popular computers. He also plays the role of a minor antagonist in The Atlantis Complex.
