Sha'Ress was the younger sister of M'Ress, who served on the USS Enterprise under Captain Kirk. She joined the Saladin's crew after serving as an Ensign aboard the USS Hood during the M-5 disaster, and was promoted some months later. (Starship Saladin) Lt. Sha'Ress was Chief Communications Officer after the promotion of Lieutenant Lisa Randall to Helmsman. She was on station on Stardate 9347.9 during the attempt to rescue Commodore Alexander Enwright from the Klingons. (See Star Trek: "Eye of the Tempest")
