Wet Darmic was a even faster version of Hot Darmic. It received its name from the amount of sweat that the performers and audience would perspire during a concert, leaving the stage and the floor wet. A curious phenomenon, other genres attempted to acquire the same reaction but were unsuccessful. One theory was that Wet Darmic's general use of the hornspalk created additional humidity to the area around the stage, resulting in increased perspiration. Wet Darmic was popularized by groups such as The Firestarters of Farina and Oceanic Turmoil. Most took their influence from Hot Darmic bands.
