Machineville was a district in the planet Taris' Lower City. Set aside for the city's droid population as a place to recharge and repair, Machineville was known as the "birthplace of the swoop-bike" among Taris' racing community. Machineville was located near a number of refugee camps set up during the Mandalorian Wars, it and served as a buffer zone between these settlements and the rest of the Lower City.
