The Auditor-General was a position appointed to observe the operations of the Corporate Sector Authority (CSA) and to remove sources of corruption and inefficiency. The Office of the Auditor-General was under the direction of the Prex and employed numerous roving assistant auditors to check information from outside the office and run investigations. Essentially the intelligence department of the CSA, coordinating information from industrial spies throughout the galaxy and informers in the Imperial civil service, it also operated the Detached Duty Office as a sort of internal affairs bureau. Additionally, the Auditor-General served as the CSA's defense minister.
