King Kain was the first king of Sommerlund who led the Sommlending into battle in MS against the Darklords of Helgedad, drove their armies beyond the Durncrag Mountains, and seized the land that would become their country. He gave Darklord Vashna his first defeat. Kian named the land that they had conquered Sommerlund in honor of Kai.
