The Lady of the Kitsune, also known as Kitsunehime, was detailed in myth to be either a ten-tailed fox spirit or a magnificent woman. She was worshiped as a secondary image of Benten and much revered in Fox Clan lands. She was capable of granting wishes and stealing men's hearts, and was said to be the mother of the kitsune race. The Lady of the Kitsune resided in Chikushudo, the Realm of Animals.
