Patrick Sewell is the son of William Sewell, and an inmate of San Quentin State Prison in Marin County, California. He was convicted of murdering Daniel Hunter in 1996, and was sentenced to serve life in prison. He was later charged with the murder of William Ratliff after an anonymous tip and DNA on the switchblade was confirmed to be his. During his trial, and while being held at the transportation center, he stabbed and critically injured Andre La Cosse.
